The Office of Federal Contract Compliance (OFCCP), part of the Department of Labor, is responsible for ensuring that employers doing business with the Federal government comply with the laws and regulations requiring nondiscrimination. Federal government contractors with 50 or more employees face a June 30, 2022 deadline to have plans in place to comply with Executive Orders and regulations mandating compliance. The OFCCP has the authority to conduct audits of company plans and has the authority to impose punitive actions against companies who fail to comply.
