Included will be discussion on the Defense Federal Acquisition Requirements (DFARS) interim rulings enforcing requirements for implementing NIST 800-171 for all organization in the Defense Industrial Base. This is a great opportunity to learn more about protecting your business from cyber criminals, what is currently required to participate in the defense supply chain, and what will soon be required, in regards to cybersecurity (CMMC), in order to sell your goods and services to the federal government.

The training will also provide high level information on National Institutes of Standards and Technology (NIST) SP 800-171, which is an NIST Special Publication that provides requirements for protecting the confidentiality of controlled unclassified information. Defense contractors must implement the requirements contained in NIST SP 800-171 to demonstrate their provision of adequate security to protect the covered defense information included in their defense contracts, as required by Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement Clause 252.204-7012.
